Expanding the Market: Kipod Office Opened in Azerbaijan
Kipod established its presence in Azerbaijan and opened a new office in Baku. The director of the branch, Rashid Karamov, considers the new business opportunities for Kipod to be vast and really advantageous.
Kipod business operations in Azerbaijan are headed by Rashid Karamov. The official opening of Baku office took place on June 2, 2016. The office is placed on the fifteenth floor of a brand-new business-center «AF BUSINESS HOUSE» right in the middle of the city. The team consists of 50 members, among which there are 38 specialists in the sphere of information technologies led by Ahadi Parviz.
«We are entering a new business environment for promoting our cloud video analytics system. Due to the benefits of using Kipod video analytics system and to the hard work of our team, we will soon be happy to present to you real examples of deploying Kipod system in Azerbaijan», says Rashid.

It is important to point out that 2016 year is advantageous for businesses in Azerbaijan, because, according to AZERTAJ, the country improved its position in Doing Business rating, moving from 80th place to 63d. The rating is calculated, based on three criteria: environment for starting a business, facility of obtaining permission for building and protection of minor investors’ interests. Azerbaijan was able to improve all three positions within a year and thus is now on the 63d place among 189 world economies. Italy’s Forein Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Paolo Gentiloni called Azerbaijan “a country with great economic potential and strategic geopolitical location”and the UK Ambassador Carol Crofts, upon her visit to Azerbaijan, emphasized that the relationship between Azerbaijan and UK develops dynamically and that UK is “Azerbaijan’s main partner in the spheres of economy and energy”.
